Plot
In 1999, journalist Shen Le Shui used her camera to document the gritty daily lives of workers at Lapi Brewery in La City during a turbulent era of corporate restructuring. When the factory went under, the workers pooled their savings to buy it back, but the money vanished, culminating in the suspicious, unresolved snow-night death of female worker Liu Xue Mei. Sixteen years later, a broke and debt-ridden Shen Le Shui returns to La City with the sole intention of selling off her old home to clear her finances. Needing money, she takes on a job from the brewery director, Ma Guo Wen, to shoot a promotional film. However, on the very first day of shooting, Ma Guo Wen is found dead on the train tracks. When a commemorative beer bottle cap — the exact same signature clue found at Liu Xue Mei’s death scene sixteen years ago — is discovered on his body, a modern-day serial murder investigation is triggered. Teaming up with young detective Gao Xue Lin, Shen Le Shui must dig through her old, unreleased tapes to expose a dark, long-buried conspiracy. Native Title: 醉梦 Also Known As: Zui Meng , 醉夢
